Overview

IT Director, Network and Telecom Services wanted by Tenerity, LLC in Hawthorne, NY. 

Responsibilities

Maintaining the enterprise network and telecom infrastructure footprint for Tenerity.  This includes strategic datacenters, corporate offices, and cloud environments where applicable; Maintaining a thorough understanding of Network tools such as Firewall management, IPAM, SNMP/Netflow Monitoring, automation, diagram, knowledge base, Network services (NTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, NAC Proxy, Syslog), Network Security, IP Routing, VPN, and LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless technologies; Configuring and maintaining Cisco, and other enterprise network technologies, VPN concentrators, Security appliances including firewalls, proxy technologies, wireless and F5 application load-balancers; Managing telecommunications toll free and DID number portfolio, port orders, documentation, and ongoing utilization review for operational and cost efficiencies; Providing responsible triage and support for operational tickets including call quality, moves/adds/changes, call recording requests, headsets, and carrier faults; Providing technical leadership to his team to effectively support telecommunications systems, including engaging cross-functional teams to provide appropriate expertise (API development, database, storage, and networking support; Working closely with senior leadership to manage internal stakeholders and vendor relationships, to review and maintain ongoing service levels and costs; Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficient operation of the Contact Centers, soliciting feedback, and collaborating on designing and implementing new solutions for our clients; Responsible to ensure understanding and ongoing reviews of departmental operational policies and procedures, and business continuity and disaster recovery documentation; Providing input for technology recommendations to support enterprise roadmap planning, and consideration of adopting leading industry technologies such as automation and artificial intelligence; and Supporting, designing, and participating in Disaster Recovery exercises and responsible for maintaining an equitable and practical working hours schedule for the global team, including on call rotation, as appropriate.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of relevant experience. Must have five (5) years of experience with installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure; five (5) years of experience working with network LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, including load balancing, SSL termination, DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, Proxy, TACACS and Firewalls; three (3) years of experience with designing and developing network architecture for a new network building of Cisco operating system and networks; two (2) years of experience designing and building disaster recovery for multiple networks and applications; two (2) years of experience with designing and managing cloud technologies such as AWS VPC to access data sources to on premises data center; and two (2) years of experience with data center activities. May work from home within commuting distance of the office. Salary range: $197,994-$215,000.
